Last game with Extra team Tyko

Today was the final game for Tyko in his current Extra team. He has had such an amazing good time with this team, most of whom he had for almost 2 years, that he was sad it was over. Everyone is now moving on to the next sport, some of us will return to the Extra soccer team next year and some won't.

Exploring the Spanish Water by boat

The 'Spaanse Water' is water partially salted by sea and partially sweet. Nice to swim in too ...

  

Some of nature's beauty: the mountains, the water, the beaches ???? Because then I saw that someone indeed had killed Barbara Beach. I couldn't believe my eyes. I had heard it via the tam-tam, but seeing it .... How could Curacao let this happen to one of its most beautiful beaches. THE entrance port from sea to the 'Spaanse Water' - once an oasis of a welcoming beach with a few mansania trees and a shed, now nothing more than a block hotel on a stripped down beach ... shame on whoever that did this! When I had my wedding reception - ok that was 15 years ago - we came in via the sea on a boat and this was the most beautiful place on earth. People having pick nicks and pooling around in the shallow clear water. 

Why? How? Barbara Beach is no more.

Luckily for us we had some beauty on board that could get my mind of what I had just witnessed: my niece ...

When your counting the last days of your stay, we always still need to go into town one last time. Either to buy super-gifts like this drinking bottle made out of a (already dead!!) bull's horn.

Meet the 3 new PADI open water divers

Loving to scuba dive, this vacation we introduced the underwater sport to Bibi, Iris and Tyko. The ears didn't always clear that well, but we managed to get enough dives and our proud PADI certified divers!
